CEO Pay Gap Unhinged
The pay gap is the difference in compensation between CEOs and the average worker. In 2021, at public companies, that gap in terms of a ratio was 399:1, up from 20:1 in the 1960 and 1970's. If the average worker made $56k in 2021, the CEO made or over $20M. All indications are that it will continue to increase. Are CEOs worth it? Are they adding that more value that in the past?
